So version 0.9.73 Beta is out and we’re getting closer to a Release Candidate.

Many improvements you won’t see have happened here, mostly:

• Non-ASCII encoding support for both folder and image filenames. They even accept single quotes. There’s a new setting in the config/settings.php file called ['use_double_encoding'], if you run into trouble with images not showing or filenames looking cookie, try changing its value.
• The tools menu went up the top, but it is still on the thoughts, since i guess i prefer to contextualise tools, so the slideshow went sideways to the gallery title. It’ll change, hopefully getting to a place where it is most useful.
• Also, i was trying to add the Slimbox preview framework, but it collides with my code, so it does not work yet. I’ll try to add it to the extensions, since it is waaaay lighter than Lightbox JS2, more robust, and looks the same.

I’ll be publishing a full Release Log to the Release page soon, and add the features to the Features page. I’ll also post a full list of coming enhances, improvements and the likes, so you get a chance to vote for your favourite, and enhance the possibility of it getting there first.
